美國專利局局長在2026年3月25日的眾議院司法委員會聽證會上進行開場演講。局長表示，美國專利局的首要任務是減少過多的待審查案件。由於目前美國專利局引進AI協助作業，因此前案檢索的速度提升，同時也在一年之內檢測到超過70,000件不實之專申請案。截至目前為止已經減少50,000件積案，期望2026內可以再減少100,000件積案。
