歐洲專利局日前甫宣布擴大使用AI工具於審查與異議程序的口頭審理（可參閱第393期台一雙週專利電子報），日前再宣布將AI工具應用於歐盟專利保護部 (Unitary Patent Protection Division)。目前此方法已引入運用在部分單位的審查程序與異議程序的口頭審理作業中。
　　
此AI工具運用在視訊會議中錄音並生成逐字稿。嗣後，遵循Rule124(3) EPC的規定，將由第二名成員使用另一個AI工具處理該逐字稿，以產出會議紀錄草稿。
