2026年2月1日起，歐洲專利加速審查 (Programme for Accelerated Prosecution, PACE) 只能在實審階段提出請求。由於目前歐洲專利局已能夠在六個月內完成檢索，因此已無加速的必要，歐洲專利局決定將專業和精力集中在實審階段，以最大化縮短審查期間。歐洲專利局也簡化使用者諮詢的流程，強化使用者服務體驗。
