日本與法國之間的PPH試行計畫自2021年1月1日起實行。此試行計畫將自2025年1月1日起延長至2029年12月31日，不排除未來再度延長的可能性。

由於PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) 國際申請案無法直接進入法國國家階段，因此，若是法國國內申請案主張PCT國際申請案之優先權，或是PCT國際申請案主張法國國內申請案優先權，且其國際檢索報告及國際初審報告是由日本專利局做出，即可請求日法之間的PCT-PPH。
