有鑑於2020年時新冠病毒疫情大流行，紐西蘭專利局宣布允許提交未經宣誓的證據，以利當事人在截止日期前提交證據。由於新冠病毒疫情封鎖限制已經解除，前述措施將在2023年7月14日終止，從2023年7月15日起，未經宣誓的證據將不再被採納。
