The CECC reported that a total of 5,363,205 suspected COVID-19 cases have been reported in Taiwan, among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 5,344,301 cases. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 18,041 cases. Of the 18,041 confirmed cases, 3,238 are imported; 14,749 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown sources of infection; the sources of infection of 14 cases are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 116 cases (one newly added; removed after testing negative the second time) have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There has been a cumulative total of 851

The CECC reported that local infections in Vietnam have decreased, with only sporadic local cases over the past two weeks. Therefore, the CECC has moved Vietnam to its list of low-risk countries from the list of medium-risk countries. Additionally, locally acquired COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong continued to decline, and the status of the pandemic in the region has met the criteria for the CECC's medium-risk category for the recent two weeks. Therefore, the CECC has listed Hong Kong in its list of medium-risk countries/regions.

After six consecutive days with no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from April 26 to May 01, 2020, the CECC confirmed three new imported cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan.
April 25, 2020
The CECC reported that 31 Navy members from the cluster infection on the ship have been confirmed to have COVID-19. Health agencies have identified 1,865 individuals as contacts of these confirmed cases. Among 1,865 contacts, 534 are undergoing home isolation. 173 of the contacts have been tested for COVID-19, and 154 tested negative for COVID-19 with the remainder awaiting test results. Furthermore, 1,331 of the contacts identified are conducting self-health management.
April 23, 2020
The CECC announced one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in Taiwan. The new confirmed case is an over 20-year-old serviceman aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship, which was part of the Dunmu Fleet. Moreover, The CECC also announced that it will extend restrictions on direct cross-strait flights and the ban on airline traveler transits through Taiwan amid the continuing spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) across the globe.

The CECC announced two new confirmed imported cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan (Cases #421 and #422 confirmed today). Of 422 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 343 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 24 are Navy members on the fleet. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 203 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.

The CECC announced 22 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, with 21 cases being members of the Navy serving on a three-ship fleet, Dunmu (敦睦) Fleet.

The CECC announced that no additional cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Taiwan on April 16. Of 395 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 340 are imported and 55 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 155 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.

The CECC announced five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, with four cases being passengers aboard the Coral Princess cruise ship. Further, a cumulative total of 393 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Taiwan (Cases #389-393 confirmed today). Of 393 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 338 are imported and 55 are domestic. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 114 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.

A cumulative total of 380 coronavirus 2019(COVID-19) cases were confirmed in Taiwan; 80 patients were released from isolation. In addition, the CECC announced that host and hostess clubs and ballrooms in Taiwan will suspend operations beginning today to protect the health of members of the public.

Moreover, the CECC urged members of the public who have visited crowded places during the four-day Tomb Sweeping Festival to conduct self-health management for 14 days, avoid public places, put on face masks when going out, and work from home as much as possible in order to ensure the safety of the entire nation.

CECC confirmed 8 more COVID-19 cases, including 7 imported cases. In addition, the CECC reported that 153 Taiwanese nationals who had been stuck in Wuhan, China arrived in Taiwan on the first special flight in the evening of March 29. None of the evacuees returning from Wuhan were sent to the hospital after undergoing quarantine at the airport. They all have been tested for COVID-19 and transported to a quarantine site for a 14-day period of group quarantine.
