Based on the statistics published by TIPO, an applicant filing an AEP or PPH application will receive the first Official Letter or Notice of Allowance within two or three months on average after the TIPO issues a notification that the examination will begin shortly. An applicant will receive the first Official Letter or Notice of Allowance about ten months on average in an ordinary examination procedure after the TIPO issues a notification that the examination will begin shortly.
